Only when the inactivation of all active coverage’s identified by policy number will the Acord 25 form (Certificate) be temporarily inactivated.  If the Motor Carrier (Trucker) resolves their issues in this regard the specific in-activator or personnel with access to the same console will have the ability to reactivate the coverage’s within the original start & stop periods to post the Acord 25 form (Certificate).  It should be noted that TruckCerts.com will automatically email all previous certificate holders of any inactivation or reactivation change unless a certificate holder requests no notification for a given Motor Carrier (Trucker).  Additionally, duplicates are also sent to your organization providing a listing of all Certificate Holders notified.

Q. What is the process for renewing certificates of insurance on TruckCerts.com?

A. We recommend, adding a new Acord 25 form for the Motor Carrier (Trucker).  This will provide the best method for entering renewal data for any Motor Carrier (Trucker).  Please note if you choose to short cut the system and modify an existing Acord 25 form, the system will charge you appropriately.  However, you may generate a lapse in availability for the given Motor Carrier (Trucker) Acord 25 form, by not accounting for the difference in the renewal date entered, and the start date of the coverage placed upon the Acord 25 form.  This would mean you are limited to enter renewing Motor Carrier (Trucker) accounts on the day of policy expiration.  For smaller organizations this may be no problem, however larger organizations may have difficulty in keeping up with this timely task.  Additionally, all renewal dates do not occur on work days.  We also believe you will be best served by TruckCerts.com if you look at all the entry details for a given Motor Carrier (Trucker) Acord 25 form for initial entry, and modifying endorsements adding, deleting, vehicles, drivers, and descriptions of coverage.
